LOS MOLINOS — November 2, 2026. Tehama County Flood Control and Water Conservation District reports that California’s Department of Water Resources awarded $15 million across the Corning, Red Bluff, Los Molinos and Antelope groundwater subbasins.

What the funding supports

The county says the 2024–2026 grant supports implementation of four Groundwater Sustainability Plans, including monitoring and management actions. It does not describe a separate $15 million check for Los Molinos alone.

Latest project reporting

The district posted a September 2026 project status presentation reviewing spending, completed work and next steps. It is a grant program progress report, not proof that all water challenges have been resolved.

Why local residents should follow it

Groundwater management affects farms, domestic wells and long-term water supplies. Residents can review meeting recordings and public project documentation rather than relying on a generalized announcement to infer changes to their private well.
